Shoppers are in for a treat this May bank holiday as St. Enoch celebrates the city’s inaugural Shopping Festival with a busy line-up of events. Glasgow Style Mile Shopping Festival takes place from Wednesday 25th – Monday 30th May and St. Enoch has something for all the family to enjoy.

Fashion and beauty will be high on the agenda with useful tips and advice for shoppers including fashion fixes and masterclasses. There will also be lots on offer for the younger audience who can expect to find book signings by leading celebrities, Lego workshops, free face painting (Friday – Monday) and even a visit from Peppa Pig and George.


Thursday 26th – Monday 30th May

Brick Flicks Exhibition
Cost: Free

Timings: Open daily
Lego lovers are in for a treat when they visit the Brick Flicks exhibition at St. Enoch Centre. Created by Lego enthusiast and artist, Warren Elsmore, Brick Flicks brings to life much-loved movies by recreating them in Lego and features everything from sci-fi and drama to action blockbusters. Shoppers can expect to find some of their favourite movie scenes created in Lego, from family favourites Wayne’s World, Wizard of Oz and West Side Story to Tron and The Godfather.

St. Enoch Centre is renowned for its great range of free kids’ events, including our very own resident face painter Grace who will be painting little ones faces for free during the Shopping Festival.

Spring Fashion Fix with Debenhams and Julie Hannah

Cost: Free
Location: Outside Boots, ground Floor
Timings: 12-4pm

Shoppers looking for a bit of fashion are in luck as top stylist Julie Hannah will be running special style
consultations with Debenhams. Each consultation will feature tailored advice on how to wear this
season’s key trends. Those who pre-book appointments will receive a free £10 St. Enoch Centre gift
card which can be used towards achieving their new spring look.

Peppa Pig and George
Cost: Free
Timings: 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm

Family favourites Peppa Pig and her cute little brother George will be popping in to say hello during
the festival. Wee ones can meet the famous twosome for free, however families are encouraged to
arrive early as the event is expected to be very popular.


Saturday 28th

Bricks 4 Kidz Lego Workshops
Cost: Free
Location: Mezzanine level (above Food Court)
Timings: 12-4pm

Let your child’s imagination run wild with the Bricks 4 Kidz workshops. Designed to encourage children to get creative, the free workshops will offer young people the chance to learn, create and explore using the iconic bricks through a series of activities that will involve them designing and building their own Lego inventions.

 

Teddy Bear Hospital
Cost: Free
Location: Mezzanine level (above Food Court)
Timings: 12-4pm

Back by popular demand, kids can visit the Teddy Bear Hospital to learn how to repair any of their injured teddies from home who may need some TLC

 

 

If the Shoe Fits
Cost: Free
Location: Outside Boots, ground Floor
Timings: 12-4pm

Shoe lovers will be in for a treat as St. Enoch Centre’s popular ‘If the Shoe Fits’ event returns to the Centre for one day only. Over 80 pairs of the latest must-have shoes will be up for grabs! To be in with a chance of winning, all shoppers need to do is show their receipt for any purchase made within in the Centre that day (Saturday 28th). They will then have the opportunity to pick a number and be given a pair of shoes to try. If the shoes fit, then the pair is theirs to keep!


Sunday, 29th May

Make-up Masterclass with Jamie Genevieve
Cost: Tickets cost £15 and includes £10 gift card.
Location: TBC
Timings: 11am-12pm; 12.30-1.30pm; 2-3pm

Social media sensation Jamie Genevieve will be showing shoppers how to achieve some of her top looks with a series of make-up masterclasses. The make-up star who boasts 370k followers on Instagram and 130k subscribers on YouTube will be creating three different looks throughout the day using a selection of products available throughout the Centre. Places are limited to 100 people per session and are expected to fill-up quickly so advanced booking is advised. Booking information to be announced.

Celebrity book signing

Beauty Fix with Debenhams and Julie Hannah

Take a break from shopping and enjoy a spot of indulgence with top stylist Julie Hannah as she hosts
a special Beauty Fix event. As well as finding out all this season’s beauty tricks and looks, shoppers can
enjoy a range of treatments from mini-makeovers to hand massages. There will also be a range of
demos to help show you how to achieve the perfect look.

Princes Square will be running an event on Friday 27th & Saturday 28th May in our lower courtyard area. Join in the fun of the Princes Fayre – this will involve a kids character appearance, craft activities, face painting factory, competitions and prizes for both children and their parents.

As well as an array of models and pop up fashion shows throughout the weekend, Buchanan Galleries will be giving customers the chance to enter the Style Lab on the Ground Floor from Saturday 28th – Monday 30th May between 10am – 5pm. Here you can meet a stylist, have your colours analysed and feel completely pampered with Hair, Make up and Nail consultations.

Throughout the Glasgow Style Mile Shopping Festival you can keep your wee ones entertained with some exclusive offers and activities in store at Hamleys with a wide array of activity that will give kids the opportunity to attend character meet and greets, story time, Glitter Tastic Workshops, Dance Offs and Beanboozled competitions. There will be a unique one off Transformers Event taking place on St Enoch Square on Friday 27th May between 12pm – 4pm
